iSTAND Movement

I am so excited about my new Album “Our God Reigns”, to be released on June 14th. I would like to personally invite you to be there to celebrate with me.. Please see the flyer for more information.

It’s been an amazing experience writing and co-writing all the new music. God has given me a simple message for this album – to be Bold and Share His love with everyone. The world needs to know that Jesus loves each and everyone of us.

Isn’t it exciting to know that as a follower of Christ, we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world!! We can leave such a positive impact in the lives of others and in turn make a difference in the world. These days we hear and see a whole lot of “Bad News” happening in our cities, and the world in general, that people are becoming less positive and less optimistic. It’s a real breathe of fresh air when we share the Good News of the gospel as it brings Hope and Peace.

One of the songs on the album is called iSTAND. It talks about being bold and standing for what you believe in. Ephesians 6:13 says Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Night at the Game…….Toronto Raptors win!!!

A couple weeks ago I went to an NBA Game – Toronto Raptors vs Milwaukee Bucks – my Daughter was singing the national anthems (O Canada and Star Spankled Banner) with her school. It was a very amazing experience in so many ways. First of all the kids did such a wonderful job. Special thanks to their Director Lavinia Celaire.

While leaving the choir back-stage and heading up to the stadium, I heard the Raptors team and the guard told me that they were praying before the game. He said both teams pray together before the game. Had I not been there at that time, I would have never known that. I mentioned it to someone, who is a real fan of the sport and he didn’t know that they prayed before the games either. Wow, thumbs up for you guys for acknowledging God!!!

As I continued walking I met and got a photo with Jamaal MaGloire, the Toronto native who capped his 13-year NBA career with his hometown team in the 2011-12 season.

The next best part is that our home team won and we were treated to free Pizza the next day. Why free pizza?
– Because our team (Toronto Raptors) scored over 100 points, Pizza Pizza donated to everyone who attended the game. Thanks Pizza Pizza!!! You know how to celebrate.

It’s my Birthday!!! :)

Twas a sweet day! I thoroughly enjoyed my day. My mom baked me a marble cake and my husband bought me a big strawberry cheese ice-cream Cake and I had a dessert party with the ladies.

Thank you all for the special birthday greetings I received on facebook, email, text, calls and special deliveries in-person. I really appreciate it all. I certainly had a wonderful or should I say a very “Sweet” birthday. Yes, it was a sweet day!!!

What a wonderful weekend

What a wonderful weekend…Congratulations and blessings to Evang. Blessing Ajayi on the launch of Women’s Voice. We had an awesome time. Chains were broken. It was so nice ministering with Toyin Dada and others. Get her new album. You will be blessed.

Woohoo!!! Street Ministry yesterday @ GospelFest with MorningStar Voices in the Memorial Park in Oshawa. Again, chains were broken…people were healed, delivered and set free. Thanks to Pastor and Sis George of COG Sabbath Keeping Oshawa for such a vision to serve your community year after year. To God be the Glory.

About the album
All the songs on `The Call` album are originals written by Ruth Dente. At the early age of 5, Ruth began writing songs. Her father was a worship leader and so she would go through the hymn books and the songs that she didn’t know, she would write her own tunes to them. This went on for years until Ruth began to pen her own lyrics.

This album is a masterpiece. The songs will move you. Others have said that once they listen to the album, it has been on repeat.
When asked, have you seen God use music to help others, Ruth`s reply was:
“One testimony that sticks out is one year I went to Arizona to do a Concert and I sang a song about how God is the same forever and if he has done it before, he can do it again. The next year I went back and a lady came up to me and told me that she was longing to see me again to let me know; she had a rough year and that the song I sang kept ministering to her through that year. She was consoled knowing that God will get her out of her terrible situation. I have numerous testimonies of how music helps others.”
